LEAP Bridge Concrete Help

LEAP Bridge Concrete Main Features

This program reads the LEAP Bridge Concrete database information. The database is in XML format and contains the bridge geometric and property information. The program displays this information in 3-D solid views and manages the interaction with component programs.

Project Information

LEAP Bridge Concrete can define the general project information, special analysis options and save it into the database.

Geometry

LEAP Bridge Concrete displays the bridge in 3-D solid view. Selected components can be viewed individually. Transparent views allow for viewing the prestressing strands, post-tensioning tendons, longitudinal reinforcing and shear stirrups within the superstructure. The substructure reinforcement, such as stirrups and longitudinal top and bottom bars in the cap, column bars and footing reinforcement, can also be seen. Individual bridge components can be selected from Project Tree view or the 3-D solid view. Bridge Parametric Layout can be invoked from LEAP Bridge Concrete to define the bridge geometry in detail or perform geometric checks, such as clearance and bearing offsets.

Superstructure

LEAP Bridge Concrete displays the 2-D plan, section and elevation views (including dimensions) of the bridge superstructure, and invokes Precast/Prestressed Girder or CIP RC/PT Girder to perform superstructure bridge analysis and design.

Substructure

LEAP Bridge Concrete displays the bridge and pier elevation views and invokes Substructure to perform pier/abutment analysis and design.

Reports

LEAP Bridge Concrete creates reports based on data contained in the LEAP Bridge Concrete database, and also based on analysis and design results obtained from component programs.

Drawings

LEAP Bridge Concrete can generate preliminary drawings in DGN format for prestressed girder bridges with piers.

Automatic Bridge Creator (ABC)

You can easily create complete bridge models (super- and sub-structure) using this extremely user-friendly wizard. The ABC Wizard can support the creation of up to three different bridges in the same project file, each with its own alignment, profile and cross section information. Using LandXML or by directly reading in GEOPAK, MX, or InRoads data files, the alignment, profile of the roadway and ground information can easily be read into the ABC Wizard.
